This holiday to the south coast of England lets us enjoy the pretty seaside towns of Brighton, Eastbourne & Hastings, as well as some quaint settlements in the East Sussex countryside. A perfectly relaxed itinerary allowing as much leisure time needed to enjoy these lovely locations.

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel south to Eastbourne where with time to relax and unwind ready to enjoy dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Alfriston and Brighton 

We start the day with an excursion to visit the pretty downland village of Alfriston. After our stop, we continue through the Sussex countryside, passing near Lewes before we arrive in Brighton. Spend the rest of the day in Regency Brighton, renowned for its quirky shops in the famous ‘Lanes’ and cosmopolitan outlook.

On our return journey to Eastbourne, we follow the South Coast’s beaches and cliffs taking in breathtaking views over the sea. We pass through Newhaven and by Beachy Head Lighthouse as we return to the hotel.

 

DAY THREE – Eastbourne

Today is a free day in Eastbourne. One of England’s best-loved seaside resorts, Eastbourne has a leisurely atmosphere with its elegant seafront terraces, level promenades and immaculate gardens. Enjoy a seafront stroll, make your way into the town to explore or just sit and relax and watch the world go by.

 

DAY FOUR – Kent and East Sussex Railway and Hastings

Our day starts with a ride through the pleasant Sussex countryside to the village of Bodiam. Here we join the Kent and East Sussex Railway for a delightful steam train ride to Tenterden. Across the ‘border’ in Kent, Tenterden is a lovely little town with tea rooms, ideal for lunch. After our stop, we head for the South Coast where we visit historic Hastings. Perhaps enjoy a walk through the Warrior Square Gardens, along the seafront, or maybe visit Hastings Pier. This is the ideal place to enjoy lunch and make the most of the summer weather.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
