We depart from your home for your journey to Cornwall, arriving at your hotel late afternoon, time to relax before dinner.
Today we visit St Ives, well no visit to Cornwall would be complete without a stop here, would it? Youll have time to explore one of the most popular towns to visit in Cornwall. Boasting fabulous beaches, excellent galleries, a stunning harbour and the most charming shops and restaurants, it's a real cultural haven. We will also be visiting Tate Modern Art Museum. You will discover 100 years of art, celebrating how West Cornwall has welcomed and inspired artists and revealing new connections to artists from around the world, including Barbara Hepworth. Before we return to our hotel we will make our way to Lands End, one of Britains best loved landmarks, famous for its unique location, natural beauty, and stunning scenery.
Once upon a time, the beautiful port town of Penzance was the hidden gem of West Cornwall. But today Penzance is a place rightly celebrated as the hottest destination in all of Cornwall. With award-winning restaurants and cafes to win your heart and a range of independent shops and galleries packed to the brim with quirky, artsy charm.
Soak in the atmosphere of the famous Promenade, tropical gardens, and historic streets.
Today we will visit Falmouth, this port town is wonderfully vibrant and scenic. Take a wander down the Old High Street, through the heart of the town towards Discovery Quay and youll pass a splendid assortment of independent shops. These range from hand-made wares, books, eclectic homewares, vintage clothing, and nautical supplies. Well then visit Helston, and the Museum of Cornish Life, that has one of the greatest collections of social history. The Helston Museum is set in the towns historic Market Buildings. Youll find the history of the industries in Cornwall, childrens toys over the decades and centuries, displays of old Cornish stores, and some amazing historical models.
Well then return to the hotel.
This morning, we will explore Lanhydrock, the magnificent late Victorian country house with garden and wooded estate. Lanhydrock has a feel a wealthy but unpretentious family home. Discover two sides of Victorian life: from the kitchen which offers a thrilling glimpse into life 'below stairs', to the luxurious family areas, elegant dining room and spacious bedrooms which reveal the comforts of upstairs living.
