Killarney is situated in one of the most scenic areas in Ireland and is renowned for its natural beauty and areas of colourful contrasts combining a rugged coastline with dramatic mountain scenery.  The county is also famous for its National Park, Lake & Jaunting Cars which are included in our tour.

DAY ONE - Arrival

We depart from your home with our home pick-up then join your tour coach and travel to Holyhead for our early crossing to Dublin. Upon arrival we rejoin your coach and travel across Ireland to Killarney with comfort stops en route.

 

DAY TWO – Jaunting Car Ride and Killarney

Travel back in time as you take a traditional Jaunting Car Ride through the Killarney National Park and on to Ross Castle situated on the banks of the spectacular Killarney Lakes.

Take in the sights of some of Killarney’s most popular scenic hotspots like the iconic high spire of St. Mary’s Cathedral and the Deenagh Lodge and River as your private carriage takes a ramble through the magnificent landscape of the Killarney National Park.

Be transported back to 15th century Ireland with stories of the legendary stronghold of the O’Donoghue Chieftains and the ancient Castle’s tragic fall to the Cromwellian Army on their conquest of Ireland, the legend of the Lake and much, much more.

Learn more about the nature of the park as well as its famous wildlife inhabitants including the Irish Red Deer. Take this unique opportunity to capture those special holiday moments as your Guide pauses at some of Killarney’s most dramatic scenic locations before reaching the shores of Ross Castle, where you will be invited to explore the grounds of the 15th century stronghold with breath-taking views across Lough Léin.

As the one-hour tour comes to its end, you will be returned to the town centre or your hotel with memories to last a lifetime.

 

DAY THREE – Dingle Peninsula and Dingle Dolphin Cruise

Today We enjoy a scenic drive along the breathtaking Wild Atlantic Way this morning en

route to the colourful town of Dingle. We enjoy the stunning scenery and stop at

beautiful Inch Beach, which has featured in various famous films, to take in its 4 miles of beautiful sands and views over Dingle Bay and the mountains of Kerry.

On arrival in Dingle, the charming “capital” of the Dingle Peninsula, we head down to the main pier from where we enjoy a harbour and dolphin cruise. We hear about the story of Dingle Bay and its people on our cruise taking in the magnificent scenery. We have free time for lunch in Dingle and a stroll around this bustling authentic Irish town full of pubs, quaint shops and eateries.

 

DAY FOUR – Ring of Kerry

Today, we experience a stunning drive around the mystical and unspoilt Ring of

Kerry, one of the most spectacular circular driving routes in Ireland. The drive

provides us with an insight into the area’s ancient heritage and allows us to marvel

at the fantastic views of its stunning scenery. During our journey, we spend time at

leisure in the elegant seaside town of Kenmare, the jewel in the Ring of Kerry.

 

DAY FIVE - Departure

Today we begin retracing our steps to Dublin for our afternoon crossing to Holyhead and home.

Located 1 mile from Killarney town centre, the excellent Gleneagle Hotel is one of

Killarney’s largest hotels and overlooks the mountains of Killarney National Park. All 244 bedrooms are modern with a bright colour scheme and equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The large, traditional restaurant has plenty of natural daylight and there is a large bar with plenty of seating where entertainment takes place, as well as a smaller, more relaxed bar and a few quiet lounge areas. Leisure facilities include an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and spa bath. There is also a regular shuttlebus to/from Killarney town centre. Hotel has a lift.
