Acknowledged as one of the best places to live in Ireland, Westport is a fabulous town with picturesque views. From here, our itinerary takes in stunning Kylemore Abbey, National Museum of Country Life as we as the spectacular scenery of Connemara.

We depart from your home and travel to Holyhead and our ferry crossing to Dublin and on to our hotel in Westport.
Today we journey South and take in the spectacular scenery of Connemara. Keep an eye out to see if you can spot the famous white Connemara ponies roaming the National Park.
As we head to Kylemore Abbey, a picturesque monastic home. Learn about the fascinating history of this place from the Henry family who built it in 1868, To ownership under the Duke & Duchess of Manchester to the estate being taken over by the current custodians Benedict Nuns from Belgium who started a private school for girls that recently closed in 2010.
Explore the famous miniature cathedral, Victorian Walled Gardens and Gothic church. Browse the extensive estate gift shop that contains local products from the area including homemade Chocolate that is made by the Nuns on the estate.
Today is free to explore our base of Westport at leisure from our town centre hotel. A unique town of colourful independent shops, bars, and restaurants to explore. There is also the option to relax and make use of leisure facilities at our hotel.
This morning, we head the short journey North to visit the fascinating National Museum of Country Life. Interesting exhibits showcase the lives of ordinary people and their way of living in rural Ireland between 1850 to 1950. In the grounds there is award-winning Turlough Park Gardens to explore.
Next, we journey to Foxford Woolen Mill Visitors centre founded in 1892 this is the home of traditional Irish Knitwear. Enjoy free time at leisure to explore the store and maybe grab an authentic Irish souvenir.
We return via a picturesque drive over Pontoon Bridge and Cunnagher More Bog to the traditional town of Castlebar. Where there is free time at leisure to explore the town before we return to Westport.
This morning enjoy free time at leisure at the hotel perhaps enjoy the hotel's leisure facilities or explore Westport. After lunch we journey the short distance to Westport Harbour to board for a cruise around Clew Bay. Hear the stories of Grace OMalley a famous Pirate Queen who used to patrol these waters, see Inishgort lighthouse, a Seal Colony as we weave around the 365 mini-islands one of which is owned by John Lennon!
After breakfast, this morning we leave our hotel and make our way back to Dublin and our ferry crossing and home.

Leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool, Spa and Gym. All bedrooms are ensuite and have television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift does not go to all floors.
DAY ONE
We depart from your home and travel to Holyhead and our ferry crossing to Dublin and on to our hotel in Westport.
