Enjoy a fabulous week at Alvaston Hall, tucked away in a quiet corner of Cheshire. A Grade II listed Victorian property, Alvaston Hall is a half-timbered country house that can be traced back thousands of years to when it was the home of a Saxon farmer named Aelfgar. It has a pin-drop peaceful setting with award-winning gardens.

 

On this trip you can enjoy classic activities including gameshows and quizzes, cooking demonstrations and behind the scenes peaks, as well as ballroom, sequence, and line dancing, with the best evening live entertainment in town, including the house band, a vocalist, comedian and showtime.

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Llangollen for a short break before travelling on to Alvaston Hall, arriving mid-afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Nantwich and Bridgemere Garden Centre

This morning we travel a short distance to Nantwich, a medieval market town situated on the banks of the River Weaver, and famous for the medieval timbered buildings dotted around the town. Enjoy a stroll through this charming town with a wide range of speciality shops and one of the finest medieval town churches in Britain, St.Mary’s.

 

We then take a short drive to Bridgemere Garden Centre, one of Britian’s largest garden centres. It boasts award-winning Show Gardens, a shopping village and two restaurants. We then return to Alvaston Hall this afternoon where we have time to relax before dinner and tonight’s entertainment.

 

DAY THREE – Shrewsbury

Today after a leisurely breakfast we travel to Shrewsbury – with its  historic buildings amidst the glorious Shropshire countryside.  We return to our hotel to relax before this evening’s dinner.

 

DAY FOUR – At Leisure

Today you have the day at leisure to enjoy Alvaston Hall. Unwind in the pin-drop peaceful setting and its award-winning gardens, relax by the large pool, or enjoy one of the hotel's selection of restaurants and lounges.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops enroute.

PLEASE NOTE:   Warner Alvaston Hall Hotel is a beautiful hotel set in wonderful gardens and offering its guests many facilities including large heated swimming pool, yoga, cinema and games rooms, selection of sports from dance and fitness classes to archery, rifle shooting, etc. They have large entertainment room offering showtime with musicals, bands, DJs, comedy and visiting artists from theatres.  Comfortable lounge The Fountain Bar, also the Cheshire Barn for daytime snacks.   As such the property is spread out over a large area.  Whilst the main building was built in 1896, in recent years it received a £12.5million redevelopment, making it the large property it is today. Bedrooms close to reception, dining and entertainment area are not always available, therefore please make this a consideration when booking, some rooms may be situated quite a distance from these main areas.  Dining is buffet style.  Please ask our Customer Service Team if you wish to see a map of Alvaston Hall Hotel prior to booking.
