Welcome to Torquay in Devon, on the English Riviera coast. Devon has an atmosphere all its own, from the iconic palm trees, gardens, cliff tops and coastlines all create a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing holiday at any time of the year.

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Devon arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Paignton and Brixham

Our first visit today is to Paignton, Torquay’s near neighbour. Explore the harbour and sheltered coves or enjoy a stroll along the promenade.

This afternoon we head for the port of Brixham with its quaint narrow streets heading up from the waterfront. In the harbour is a replica of the Golden Hind, Sir Frances Drake’s ship. Watch the many boats heading across the bay to Torquay and beyond.

 

DAY THREE – Torquay

Today is your chance to explore Torquay. Known as the ‘Queen of the English Riviera’, Torquay is one of England’s best-loved resorts. Explore the harbour, enjoy a stroll along the promenade or do some shopping in the town centre. Relax in and around the hotel and watch the world go by.

 

DAY FOUR – Totnes and Dartmouth

First, we visit the market town of Totnes with its variety of shops and historic buildings. We continue to delightful Dartmouth. The River Dart is busy with boats of all shapes and sizes, and the town hosts the Royal Naval College. We have time for lunch here before we return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

 

DAY FIVE - Departure

After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
