DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Scotland arriving late afternoon; you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Trossachs Scenic Tour and Inveraray

After a leisurely breakfast we enjoy a relaxing scenic journey alongside Loch Lomond, a jewel of the Scottish Highlands. We pass Luss, where the TV series 'Take the High Road' was filmed and travel through the Trossachs National Park - the 'Highlands in Miniature'.  We arrive at the charming town of Inverary, nestled on the western shore of Loch Fyne. You can choose to visit the 19th century Inverary Jail, and step back in time, or take a walk around the lovely town with its white-washed buildings full of character. Why not visit the Whisky Shop, the Old Sweet Shop, or the Woollen Mill, you can also obtain refreshments in the many cafés. After a little time here, we’ll then continue our scenic journey via Callender and the Dukes Pass. Arriving back at the hotel, there’s time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY THREE – Kelpies and Edinburgh

Today we visit 'The Kelpies', a pair of colossal horse-head sculptures standing 98 feet tall.  These iconic structures are the largest equine sculptures in the world and one of Scotland's most striking modern landmarks. We’ll then continue to Edinburgh, with its stunning architecture, scenic landscapes and plenty of shops. Returning to our hotel later this afternoon, after a busy, but enjoyable day.

 

DAY FOUR –Stirling Castle

Our excursion today takes us to Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s grandest castles due to its imposing position and impressive architecture. The scenery will take your breath away. It’s rich with history, has superb architecture and there are many different attractions within its walls. Returning to our hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

The Winnock Hotel is an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful getaway amidst stunning natural beauty.  Located just a stone’s throw from the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond, you can enjoy breathtaking views and take short walks around the village or unwind in the traditional bar with log fires. This hotel is sensitively extended and refurbished but retains its traditional atmosphere. The Winnock has 74 bedrooms all with excellent facilities.  The hotel does not have a lift; however, ground floor rooms are available on request.
