DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Eastbourne with comfort stops on route, arriving late afternoon there will be tea and coffee served for you at the hotel on your arrival. Time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Alfriston and Eastbourne

We start the day with a visit to the pretty south down’s village of Alfriston, and then return to Eastbourne this afternoon, where you are able to enjoy the hotel, or explore Eastbourne itself.

 

DAY THREE – Brighton

Today is free for you to discover Brighton. The city has many attractions including the Lanes, a maze of little streets with lots of specialist shops, the famous Brighton Pavilion, a Royal beach house built in Indian style and full of amazing treasures. Enjoy a stroll along the pier and wide promenade or just sit and watch the world go by. At this time of year Christmas will be in full swing, so it’s a great opportunity to purchase that quirky present, or just soak up the festive cheer.

 

DAY FOUR –Wakehurst Mansion, Royal Botanic Gardens and Lewes

After two years under cover, the iconic Wakehurst Mansion is unwrapped in 2025, and now is your opportunity to set foot once again into this Elizabethan Mansion that sits in the heart of Wakehurst and was originally built between 1571 and 1590, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.

You’ll also have time to explore the winter garden, full of sensory delight and the perfect place to list the spirits on a cold winter’s day.

After our day at Wakehurst, we head to Lewes, the county town of East Sussex for a short stop and time to enjoy an afternoon drink before we return to Eastbourne.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

This three star hotel is located on the seafront overlooking the western lawns and a short walk from the town centre. The hotel has five lounge areas, some with sea views, and a games room. All the bedrooms are ensuite with television, hairdryer and a tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have any ground floor rooms and although the hotel has a lift, some of its rooms are accessed by some steps.
