OPEN DAY
8 June 2025

From £48
Since moving to Gresgarth Hall in Lancashire in 1978 with her family, Arabella Lennox-Boyd developed the gardens there, marrying Italian style with British plantmanship.
In 1989 Arabella formed Arabella Lennox-Boyd Landscape and Architectural Design where she heads a team of designers that have designed and developed the glorious gardens that you will see today.
Arabella has been designing gardens for over forty-five years and has landscaped more than four hundred gardens worldwide, including six Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal gardens and the Best of Show winner in 1998, while she created the Rooksnest Lambourn Woodlands in Berkshire, which was an exceptionally fine ten acre traditional English garden for Dame Theresa (née Rowling) Sackler.
Gresgarth Hall
We depart from your selected pick-up point and travel north to Gresgarth Hall, to enjoy their Garden Open Day. Youll have plenty of time to explore. Several nurseries also attend the open day, and so why not take a look at whats on offer and maybe take a horticultural treat home with you. You can also enjoy refreshments in the Coffee Bug café in the mill area of the gardens.
Please note there is a walk of approx. 300 yards across the park area to the entrance. Please be mindful of this when booking and ensure suitable footwear is worn. Due to uneven ground and gravel pathways, some parts of the garden are not accessible for wheelchairs. We would also like to point out that Gresgarth Hall Gardens are private and therefore paths and stepping stones are not secured as they would be in a public garden.
Looking to take a group, if you book 20 places or more on this tour the tour organiser will go Free of Charge.
