(9) DAY ONE – Worcester and Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to the beautiful Forest of Dean, with a lunch stop in the historic city of Worcester. There is time to explore at your leisure before we continue to the Bells Hotel & Country Club. On arrival, enjoy your welcome drink before settling into your room and relaxing before dinner this evening.

 

(10) DAY TWO – Forest of Dean & Dean Forest Railway

After breakfast we enjoy time exploring the beautiful Forest of Dean before making our way to the Dean Forest Railway. Sit back and enjoy a nostalgic journey through ancient woodland and picturesque countryside aboard this charming heritage railway, travelling through some of the area's most scenic landscapes before returning to the hotel for dinner this evening.

 

(11) DAY THREE – Wye Valley Cruise

Today we head to Symonds Yat, one of the Wye Valley's most picturesque beauty spots. Here we board our relaxing cruise along the River Wye, taking in spectacular scenery, wooded hillsides and abundant wildlife while learning about the history of this beautiful river. Afterwards there is time to enjoy Symonds Yat before returning to the hotel for dinner and entertainment.

 

(12) DAY FOUR - Departure and Stratford-upon-Avon

After breakfast we bid farewell to the Forest of Dean and begin our journey home. En route we visit the historic market town of Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. Enjoy free time to explore its charming streets, riverside setting and excellent range of independent shops and cafés before we continue our journey home.

Located in the Forest of Dean on the outskirts of the historic market town of Coleford, the hotel is positioned in a peaceful location on a hill with beautiful views over the Wye Valley. Each of the 53 bedrooms are of a high standard and traditional in style. The hotel has no lift but there are plenty of ground floor bedrooms. The hotel is located across two buildings, with the reception, bedrooms, and beauty suite in one, and the bar, restaurant, and terrace in the other. The hotel also boasts a county standard bowling green as well as an 18-hole golf course (both payable locally). This hotel does not have a lift but does offer ground floor rooms on request.
