DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to south Devon and Dawlish. Arriving late afternoon, there is time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Sidmouth and Exmouth

Today we travel to Sidmouth along the coast.  Explore the little streets, museum, and the sea front, or just sit back and relax and watch the world go by. After lunch we’ll visit Exmouth, a lively town, situated on the east coast of Devon where the River Exe meets the sea. 

 

DAY THREE – Newton Abbot and South Devon Railway

This morning we drive into Newton Abbot, where we take a break before we continue to Buckfastleigh where we join the South Devon Railway. Originally a Great Western Railway branch line, the line hugs the Dart estuary on the journey to Totnes. On arrival, you can stretch your legs before the train returns to Buckfastleigh. Here, the railway offers an extensive museum, workshops, gift shop and book shop to explore as well as the award-winning Refreshment Rooms for snacks, cakes, and Devon cream teas. After, we return to the coach to make our way back to the hotel.

 

DAY FOUR – Torquay

Today after breakfast we travel to Torquay where you have the day at leisure to enjoy the delights of Torquay.

There is no shortage of things to do in Torquay - with its stunning seafront, stylish marina and beautiful beaches meandering the length of this beautiful South Devon town, Torquay is noted for its huge range of year-round things to do.

 

DAY FIVE - Departure

After breakfast, we begin our journey home making comfort stops en route.

The hotel has 64 en-suite bedrooms across two floors, all rooms have En Suite, TV, Wifi, Tea and coffee facilities and a hair dryer. There is a lift and four staircases to the first floor.
