Each year, Longleat’s spectacular Festival of Light transforms the park into a captivating, illuminated winter wonderland. With a different theme each year, expect astonishing characters, magnificent scenery, and stunning structures. As well as the impressive, illuminated lanterns, the ground floor of Longleat House will be decorated for Christmas and there will be attractions in the Main Square, and of course the amazing animals will be waiting to pinch your mince pies!

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home area travelling to Chippenham in Wiltshire, we arrive late afternoon with time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Bath and Bridgerton-themed tour

This morning, we travel to the city of Bath where we will meet our guide to take us on a Bridgerton-themed tour of the city. They’ll show us around the iconic filming spots including Featherington House, Lady Danbury’s Residence, and Gunters Tea Rooms where the Bridgerton’s and Featherington’s gossip. Following our tour, the rest of the day is free to explore this 18th-century spa city at leisure.

 

DAY THREE – Chippenham, Bradford-on-Avon and Lacock

We enjoy a leisurely morning in Chippenham, an historic market town with a population of over 40,000. The combination of old and new - historic architectural gems and modern shopping centres - makes this an ideal place to explore.

 

This afternoon, we head to beautiful Bradford-on-Avon for a short break before moving on to the time-warp village of Lacock - famous for its picturesque streets and as a location for TV and film.

 

DAY FOUR – Salisbury and Wilton House

This morning, we make our way to historic Salisbury where the early English gothic cathedral is home to the famous Magna Carta. With timbered buildings, museums, and some of England’s finest historic houses, many things are waiting to be explored.

 

This afternoon, we journey to the magnificent Wilton House - immediately recognisable as Hastings House, Simon Basset's London home. Wilton House doubles up as several Bridgerton filming locations - including Clyvedon Castle and the interior of St James's Palace. Out in the beautiful, landscaped gardens, you can stroll through ‘London's Hyde Park' and view the delightful Palladian Bridge, a backdrop in many scenes throughout the series.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
