(8th) DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Hereford arriving in the afternoon. After a delightful scenic journey, time to familiarise yourself with the hotel before dinner, then it’s time to party!

 

(9th) DAY TWO – Hereford

Today we head into Hereford, there are lots of things to do.  Why not visit the Black and White House Museum, or Hereford Cathedral. There are also many independent stores in the historical centre and why not call into the prestigious Old Market, built on the site of the old livestock market.

 

(10th) DAY THREE – Ross on Wye and Ledbury

After a leisurely breakfast our excursion starts in Ross on Wye, perched dramatically above the River Wye, look out for St Mary’s Church which has shaped the skyline for more than 700 years.  In the afternoon we head to Ledbury nestled at the foot of the Malvern Hills, it is a haven for poetry and culture. 

 

(11th) DAY FOUR – Departure

After breakfast, this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

Built in the mid-1500s Holme Lacy House combines graceful grandeur with a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, this stunning Grade I Listed House is straight out of a Jane Austin novel and evokes the ‘English Country House’ experience as few other hotels can.  Despite its grand façade, the hotel has created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, complete with a restaurant that has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes, live entertainment every night and a host of activities to keep you occupied and entertained.

 

PLEASE NOTE:  Warner Holme Lacy House Hotel is a Grade I listed mansion set in wonderful gardens and offering many facilities including large, heated swimming pool, Aqua aerobics, board games, cocktail tasting, cookery demonstrations, crazy golf, bowls, etc., etc., audio-guided hotel tour; selection of sports including archery, rifle shooting, axe throwing, etc. They have a large entertainment room (quite a distance from restaurants and Reception) offering showtime with musicals, bands, DJs, comedy and visiting artists from theatres. Comfortable lounge in the Main House.   Due to having all these facilities, the property is spread out over a large area. Extensions to the property over the years make it the large property it is today. The hotel has Ground floor rooms, but these may not always be available.  Please consider when booking, some rooms may be situated quite a distance from the main areas.  Dining is buffet style, and they have three restaurants, you could be allocated different restaurants on different nights.  Please ask our Customer Service Team if you wish to see a map of Holme Lacy House Hotel prior to booking.
