We begin our pre-festive break with our exclusive home pick-up service, join your tour coach and travel north across the border into Scotland where we first visit Moffat, a vibrant, bustling town offering the warmest of Scottish welcomes. Well then continue to the Winnock hotel, in the pretty village of Drymen in the Trossachs.
Today we head east to Edinburgh, firstly stopping for a photo stop at the impressive Kelpies equine sculptures, before we arrive in Edinburgh where the Christmas theme will continue as we explore this wonderful city, choose to visit the markets, or the bustling streets of Edinburgh, bursting with festive cheer.
After a leisurely breakfast well travel along the banks of Loch Lomond, and on to Inveraray. overlooking the still waters of Loch Fyne, Inveraray is a traditional county town of Argyll.
Established in 1745 by the 3rd Duke of Argyll, head of the powerful Clan Campbell, the town is an absolute set piece of Scottish Georgian architecture. Key buildings that are worth visiting include the neoclassical church, and Inveraray Jail and courthouse, now an award-winning museum that graphically recounts prison conditions from medieval times up until the 19th century.
Well then return to our hotel to relax and enjoy some time before dinner this evening.
This morning before we return home full of festive spirit via a visit to historic Gretna Green.

Bedrooms are tastefully decorated and complete with TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities. Hotel also has cosy lounges and many with open log fires, restaurant, and public bar no lift but ground floor rooms available subject to availability.
