We wonder at the magic of the Malverns on this day excursion that takes us to Tenbury Wells, and Burford House Garden Centre.
Sat on the banks of the river Teme, surrounded by lush orchards and fruitful farmland you will find the market town of Tenbury Wells. Once said to have been called my little Town in the Orchard by Queen Victoria. Tenbury still retains the kind of retailers that are now distant memories for many towns such as Banfields Ironmongers; trading hardware since the 1800s. There is also a fresh Fish Shop, a range of gift and clothes shops and grocers selling local produce.
Taking a leisurely walk around the town you will notice the wide range of interesting architecture Tenbury is home to. By virtue of being an ancient town different periods are visible in proximity. Youll no doubt spot unusual Georgian buildings, 17th century half-timbered pubs, the unique 1860s Chinese- Gothic Pump Rooms and the medieval bridge crossing the Teme.
We will also visit the Burford House Garden Centre in Tenbury Wells, a comprehensive garden and home destination, which has everything you might need for your interior and outdoor space. Theres of course an on-site restaurant, and you can explore the estate.
