This morning we head to Swanage, we have some time here to enjoy Swanage before our steam train journey to Corfe Castle. Sit back and relax during a leisurely trip behind a historic steam locomotive. The 12-mile Swanage Railway takes you through the beautiful Purbeck countryside and includes stunning views of the iconic remains of William the Conqueror's Corfe Castle. Our rail journey ends at the pretty Village of Corfe Castle, the village is constructed almost completely from the local grey Purbeck limestone and comprises two main streets, there are a number of shops, cafes, pubs, etc., so some time here to browse and perhaps take photos of the remains of Corfe Castle. We then meet our coach again and return to Weymouth, time now to relax and perhaps take in a little walk in Weymouth before our dinner this evening.
Today we enjoy a coastal drive to Sidmouth, this lovely seaside town nestles beneath majestic red cliffs and the green hills of the glorious Sid Valley, enjoy beautiful gardens, regency history, and friendly shops.
