Join us to bring in the new year on the banks of the River Tweed in Peebles. Built in 1536, you’ll be staying at the Barony Castle Hotel, set in 25 acres of beautiful countryside and offering a warm Scottish welcome. You’ll have heard of the ‘Great Polish Map of Scotland’ – a three-dimensional, outdoor concrete scale model of Scotland designed by Polish war veteran Jan Tomasik – be sure to take a look during your stay.

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Peebles arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – New Year’s Eve and Pebbles

This morning we take a trip to nearby Peebles. Stroll along the timeless high street with its range of independent shops and meander the alleyways and medieval closes which have barely changed over the passing centuries. This afternoon you can enjoy Afternoon Tea with mulled wine at the hotel and relax before our formal Gala Dinner this evening. You’ll see in the New Year with a glass of prosecco, with the Edinburgh Fireworks on the television in the lounge.

 

DAY THREE – New Year’s Day and Edinburgh

It’s New Year’s Day, and today after a leisurely breakfast we have an excursion to Edinburgh.  The day is yours to stroll at leisure and take in all the sights and sounds of this wonderful city at a special time of year.

 

DAY FOUR – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
