A new partnership between the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Shakespeares Schoolroom & Guildhall has made it possible to connect these two remarkable sites, offering a richer insight into the early life and formative years of the worlds most famous playwright.
The two landmarks are just a short walk aparta route that young William Shakespeare himself would have taken daily as he travelled between his family home and the school where he learned the skills that would shape his future.
Alternatively, you may choose to spend your time exploring Stratford-upon-Avon at your own pace, enjoying its historic streets, riverside charm, and plentiful shops and cafésthe choice is entirely yours.

Shakespeare's Schoolroom & Guildhall is a fascinating experience where youll step into Shakespeares Schoolroom & Guildhall and immediately find yourself in sixteenth century Stratford-upon-Avon.
Sit in the very room where William Shakespeare sat as a pupil in the 1570s, visit the Council Chamber where his father served as Bailiff (Mayor) and experience the space where he first witnessed performances by the countrys greatest actors of the day.
Youll enjoy a fun and engaging Tudor style school lesson with Shakespeares last schoolmaster, and may even leave having learnt a little Latin!
Well then visit Shakespeares Birthplace, William Shakespeares childhood home.
