We depart from your home and travel south to Torquay with comfort stops enroute. Arrive late afternoon at your hotel, leaving time to relax before dinner.
Our visit today is to the resort of Paignton; Torquays nearest neighbour, explore the harbour and sheltered coves or enjoy a stroll along the promenade. This afternoon we head for the port of Brixham with its quaint narrow streets heading up from the waterfront, and in the harbour is a replica of the Golden Hind, Sir Frances Drakes ship.
Today is your chance to explore Torquay; known as the Queen of the English Riviera Torquay is one of Englands best loved resorts. Explore the harbour, enjoy a stroll along the promenade or shopping retail therapy in the town centre, or you could just relax in and around the hotel and watch the world go by, the choice is yours.
Our excursion today takes us to the market town of Totnes with its variety of shops and historic buildings before continuing to delightful Dartmouth. The River Dart is busy with boats of all shapes and sizes, and the town hosts the Royal Naval College. You have time to obtain lunch here before you return to the hotel late afternoon.
Always a favourite this morning we travel to Sidmouth, with its red sandstone cliff which dates to the Triassic period. Why not take a stroll along Millennium Walkway which stretches the length of the beach or relax in the stylish cafés and watch the world go by. Well then visit the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, where hundreds of rescue donkeys call home. The resident donkeys love to meet new people, and their unique characters and stories are all ready to be discovered. You can also take refreshment in the café and perhaps enjoy the gift shop. Well then return to our hotel mid-afternoon when you have time to relax before dinner this evening.
This morning after breakfast we depart our hotel for our journey home with comfort stops enroute.
