We depart from your home and travel to Suffolk, arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.
This morning we are off to the famous university city of Cambridge for the day. The city has many fascinating attractions, not least of which are the many colleges. We first meet our guide for a tour of Cambridge ending with a visit to the American Cemetery. Afterwards, we have a chance to explore the city at leisure.
The day begins with a drive to Newmarket Home of Horseracing. Here we visit the National Horseracing Centre and learn all about the history of The Sport of Kings and perhaps visit the Packard Galleries of Sporting Art.
Later, we drive to the historic city of Ely, a place for all interests and tastes, with a splendid array of medieval buildings and narrow streets. Ely is the perfect place to enjoy lunch or visit its main attraction - the magnificent cathedral known as The Ship of the Fens.
This morning we journey west to the historic town of Bury St. Edmunds, famous for its Abbey Gardens and the Angel Hotel, where Dickens had Mrs Pickwick stay. Today is market day so enjoy free time to browse the stalls, and explore the town with plenty of time for lunch here.
Today we take you into the city of Norwich where you have a full day to explore at your own leisure. Do a little sightseeing, enjoy some retail therapy or simply find a spot to relax and watch the world go by. The cathedral in Norwich is well worth a visit, as is the cobbled Elm Hill district.
