We depart from your home and travel to Scotland arriving late afternoon; you will have time to relax before dinner this evening, followed by a free bar.
This morning we head for Edinburgh, the compact capital. It has a medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town with gardens and neoclassical buildings. Looming over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotlands crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. The day is yours to explore before we return to our hotel for dinner this evening, and a free bar.
Our excursion today takes us to Stirling Castle, one of Scotlands grandest castles due to its imposing position and impressive architecture. This outstanding castles architecture includes the recently restored Great Hall of James IV, the marvellous Renaissance Palace of James V and the Chapel Royal of James VI. The Scenery will take your breath away. Its rich with history, has superb architecture and there are many different attractions within its walls. We then head back to our hotel with dinner this evening and a free bar.
Today we journey into the Trossachs, made famous by Sir Walter Scotts Rob Roy, taking in the wonderful sights before heading to the Glenturret Distillery. Here you will have a guided tour of Scotlands Oldest Distillery. The knowledgeable and passionate hosts will guide you through the distillery and the whisky-making process and at the end of your tour, you will enjoy a Glenturret tasting from the distillery's core whisky range. We will then head back to our hotel where we enjoy dinner this evening and a free bar.
After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
