Bure Valley Railway | Norfolk Broads Cruise | North Norfolk Railway | Holkham Hall with guided tour | Norwich | Paddle Steamer Cruise
We depart from your home and travel to Norfolk and our hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening.
Today you have a real treat with a train ride on the Bure Valley Railway as well as a cruise on the Norfolk Broads.
You experience a nostalgic trip by steam on Norfolks longest narrow-gauge railway which runs between the historic market town of Aylsham and bustling town of Wroxham, at the heart of the Norfolk Broads. The line runs through the pretty Bure Valley countryside following the meandering River Bure through meadowland and ancient pasture.
In the afternoon we take a trip on the Southern Comfort Paddle Steamer from the beautiful village of Horning, out to Ranworth Broad and back.
Today we have the day to explore Norwich. There is plenty to see and do in Norwich including the Cathedral, the Castle Quarter, Royal Arcade, The Guildhall, Englands largest medieval city hall, and of course the famous Lanes. The Lanes are renowned for making friends of strangers: Strangers Hall has been home to mavericks and makers from around the world since the 14th century.
After a leisurely breakfast we take another wonderful rail journey. Sit back and relax on the North-Norfolk Railway, the longest standard-gauge heritage railway in East Anglia that runs through the Heart of Norfolk.
This afternoon we visit Holkham Hall. Youll enjoy the Holkham Stories Exhibition followed by a 50-minute guided tour of the Hall with an experienced steward, and then well re-join the coach and travel the short distance to the beautiful 6 acre Holkham Hall walled garden.
After breakfast, this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
