We depart from your home and travel to Norfolk arriving late afternoon. Time to relax before dinner and entertainment this evening.
This morning we make the journey to Holkham Hall. The hall is in 18th-century Palladian style house, based on designs by William Kent and built by Thomas Coke, 1st Earl of Leicester. Explore the magnificent stately rooms, discovering the intriguing stories of Holkhams history and of its residents past and present.
Well then make our way to Wells-next-the-Sea, a picturesque coastal town with a delightful mix of beauty and history. Once a significant commercial port, it has transformed into a popular tourist destination, with its sandy beaches, colourful beach huts and scenic harbour.
This morning after breakfast we make our way to Bure Valley Railway. Experience a nostalgic trip by steam on Norfolks longest narrow-gauge railway which runs between the historic market town of Aylsham and bustling town of Wroxham, at the heart of the Norfolk Broads.
Well then enjoy a 1.5 hour Broads Cruise, on board the Mississippi Paddle Steamer Southern Comfort for a delightful sail around the Norfolk Broads, with full commentary on landmarks, history and wildlife
After breakfast we head to Diss and Blooms of Bressingham Garden Centre. Here we visit nearby Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum. The gardens are renowned the world over for their excellence. Here you will discover a number of narrow-gauge railways around the grounds, tranquil gardens containing over 8,000 species and the official home to the Dad's Army Appreciation Society's collection - including a part recreation of Walmington-on-Sea!
