After breakfast, we make our way to the second-largest city in the Veneto region, Verona. This beautiful Roman city is situated alongside the River Adige and is the setting for William Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet. Verona was a Roman city, and many Roman ruins have been preserved, notably the Arena. Most of the historical sights to see today date from the past 800 years. Verona's military importance has also left city fortifications and an excellent castle. Youll have the day here before we return to our hotel later this afternoon.
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure that combines history, natural beauty, and captivating tales, making your visit to Sirmione an experience to cherish forever. We spend today at leisure. You can relax in the hotel by the pool or take a stroll into the pretty centre of Montinelle, where we can enjoy an Aperol spritz whilst admiring the fabulous views.
We start the day with an early breakfast before heading out on a trip to Toscolano, to discover Storo and Saone, and the scenic beauty and unique attractions of each location. We stop for an hour in Molveno, a picturesque village nestled by the shores of Lake Molveno. Known for its crystal-clear waters and impressive mountain views, Molveno offers a perfect spot for relaxation. We enjoy a leisurely walk along the lake or explore the charming streets lined with quaint shops, before moving on to Mezzolombardo, a town famous for its wine production and historic architecture and beautiful buildings.
Next, we stop in Trento, home to the impressive Buonconsiglio Castle. We stroll through the bustling Piazza Duomo, surrounded by stunning Renaissance architecture, before we visit Peschiera del Garda and discover the ancient walls and lakeside promenade, taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. We then make our way back to Toscolano
