(6) DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home area and travel south to North Hampshire, arriving at the historic Elvetham Hotel in the late afternoon. Settle in and relax before dinner this evening.

 

(7) DAY TWO – Guildford and Denbies Wine Estate

Today we travel through the rolling Surrey countryside to Guildford, with its cobbled high street and impressive cathedral. There is free time to explore the town, browse the

shops and obtain lunch.

 

This afternoon, we visit Denbies Wine Estate where we enjoy a 50-minute vineyard tour by train. Commentary is provided on board and the visit includes a glass of Denbies Sparkling Wine.

 

(8) DAY THREE – Chawton House and Winchester

This morning, we travel to Chawton House, known as Jane Austen’s “Great House”. Explore the historic house, discover original examples of Austen’s writing and enjoy time in the tranquil gardens. This afternoon we continue to the historic city of Winchester, where there is free time to visit the cathedral, browse the high street or perhaps explore one of the city’s museums.

 

(9) DAY FOUR – Henley-on-Thames River Cruise and Royal Windsor

This morning, we enjoy a scenic drive through the Berkshire countryside to Henley-on-Thames, famous for its annual regatta. After some free time in the town, we board our boat for a relaxing one-hour cruise along the River Thames. Afterwards, we continue to Royal Windsor, where you can enjoy lunch, explore the historic streets and independent shops, or perhaps visit Windsor Castle.

 

(10) DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast, we leave the Elvetham Hotel and begin our journey home, with comfort stops en route.
