DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Perth arriving with time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Pitlochry, Blair Athol Distillery and ‘Christmas Dinner’

After a hearty Scottish breakfast, you can collect your festive quiz from reception. A fun prize for the winner announced later in the week! We then head north to the popular town of Pitlochry. We have the morning free to enjoy the beautiful scenery, shops, and museums and choose somewhere for lunch.

 

In the afternoon we head to the famous Blair Athol Distillery for a guided tour and tasting and a chance to learn how their famous single malt is made.

 

We return to the hotel for a Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings including crackers, hats, and streamers followed by a quiz.

 

DAY THREE – Perth and Afternoon Tea at The Royal George Hotel

Today you have the morning free to explore Perth at your own pace. There are great shops if you have gifts to buy or visit the Perth Museum, the new home for The Stone of Destiny.

 

In the afternoon we have a scrumptious afternoon tea at the Royal George Hotel accompanied by a glass of fizz or gin.

 

In the evening it’s back to the hotel for a carvery dinner followed by live music and a late bar.

 

DAY FOUR – Edinburgh and ‘Hogmany’

This morning, we travel south to Edinburgh where you have a full day to explore the city. Perhaps visit the famous Edinburgh Castle, Scottish National Gallery, or stroll down the Royal Mile. You could visit Camera Obscura and World of Illusions, try the Scotch Whisky Experience, or simply indulge in a spot of Christmas gift shopping. Edinburgh is so full of heritage, history and attractions to explore you’re bound to want to make a return trip!

 

This evening it’s back to the hotel for ‘Hogmany’ with a Scottish-themed dinner, live entertainment, and the announcement of the winner of the festive quiz.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
