Join us on a great day out to Anderton/Boat Lift, which has/earned its nickname of Cathedral of the Canals for a very good reason. Not only does it still do the/job it was designed to do/of lifting boats and barges 50ft from the/River Weaver Navigation/to the/Trent &/Mersey/Canal, but it does it with the most ingenious and endearing character of any structure on the canal system. Truly a great day out. Followed by a visit to Salford Quays. The Quays is Greater Manchester’s unique waterfront destination.

YOUR ITINERARY
We depart from your selected pick-up point and travel to the Anderton Boat Lift & Visitor Centre. We are booked on the 11:15hrs boat trip, the trip lasts about an hour. We continue our day, travelling next to Salford Quays the unique waterfront destination., with shopping, culture (Imperial War Museum & The Lowry) After a wonderful day we will leave Salford Quays at approx. 4.30pm and make our journey home.
