(23rd) DAY ONE – Arrival

Depart from your home we travel to Shrewsbury,  where you have time for lunch and a little explore before we meet again and make our way to our hotel, where we check in and enjoy tea/coffee and a festive treat on arrival.

 

(24th) DAY TWO – Llangollen & Llangollen Railway Santa Special ‘Christmas Eve’

Happy Christmas Eve! This morning, we make our way to the picturesque town of Llangollen, where there's time to soak up the festive atmosphere. Browse the independent shops for any last-minute Christmas gifts, enjoy a warming drink in one of the welcoming cafés, or simply take in the charm of this beautiful riverside town, beautifully dressed for the season.

 

Next, we head to Llangollen Railway, where a magical festive experience awaits. Step aboard the beautifully decorated Llangollen Railway Santa Special and enjoy a nostalgic steam train journey through the breathtaking winter scenery of the Dee Valley. As the heritage locomotive gently steams through the frost-kissed countryside, relax with a traditional mince pie and a warming glass of mulled wine while enjoying the festive decorations and Christmas cheer on board.

 

After an unforgettable journey with Santa, we make our way back to the hotel. The excitement builds as we get cosy, settle in, and prepare everything for Santa’s visit in the morning.

(25th) DAY THREE – Shrewsbury ‘Christmas Day’

Merry Christmas! Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and open your presents this morning. Take a stroll and work up an appetite for a Traditional Christmas Lunch. Listen to the King’s speech followed by tea, coffee and Christmas cake. An informal fork buffet dinner will be followed by Christmas movies 

 

(26th) DAY FOUR – Ludlow ‘Boxing Day’

This morning we head to historic Ludlow. See some of its stunning medieval architecture and enjoy quality food and drink to get into the festive spirit. You could even visit the famous castle! We return to the hotel in the early afternoon for brunch.

 

Enjoy a pre-dinner drink this evening, and some evening entertainment to get you into the festive spirit.

 

(27th) DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast, we depart the hotel and begin our journey home with fond memories of Christmas in Shrewsbury.
