With its miles and miles of sandy, unspoilt, rugged coastline and golden sandy beaches, you’ll be captivated by the scenery when you stay in the west coast of Scotland. It’s difficult to tear your eyes away. Enjoy festive celebrations at the Riverside Lodge with festive-themed events, party nights and our Santa experience. We have something for everyone! The atmosphere created by the open log fires, and the friendly informal service, and fun entertainment, ensure we are always busy. DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Scotland arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Christmas Eve - Clydeside Distillery Tour and Glasgow

This morning we head for the Clydeside Distillery for a tour, and perhaps you might pick up a Christmas treat. We then have some free time in Glasgow where the festive lights adorn the city centre. We’ll return to the hotel for dinner and entertainment this evening.

 

DAY THREE – Christmas Day

Merry Christmas – You’ll enjoy a full Scottish breakfast this morning, and maybe relax in front of the log fires, a visit from Santa might be on the cards, if you’ve been good. Enjoy a traditional Christmas Lunch and the King’s Speech followed by afternoon tea and Christmas cake, carol singers and evening entertainment follow with a buffet dinner.

 

DAY FOUR – Boxing Day - Ayrshire Coastal Drive

Today we take a drive to blow away the cobwebs. We head firstly to Troon and enjoy its long beach and promenade before we visit Ayr and Alloway – the home of Scotland’s most famous poet.  We then continue as we head along the coast and take in the views of the Firth to Arran and pass Culzean Castle. We’ll return to our hotel with time to relax before our dinner this evening.

 

DAY FIVE - Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

The Riverside Lodge Hotel in Irvine provides the perfect setting for guests to relax and enjoy, with 122 beautiful bedrooms. You can enjoy a relaxed yet contemporary atmosphere, flooded with natural light and sharp modern features. Our beautiful lounge provides a lovely atmosphere in which our guests can enjoy catching up with friends. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a lift however all bedrooms are situated on the ground and 1st floors.

If no single supplement applies this is limited to the tour single room allocation and therefore additional cost may apply.  Prices displayed are per person unless otherwise stated. If door-to-door pick-up is included there may be additional charges for out of area. Itineraries and hotel inclusions may be subject to change. Seat numbers on the coach may be subject to change. Issues whilst on tour must be raised in the first instance with the driver. Covid-19 restrictions may apply.
