The British Ironwork Centre is the largest centre in the United Kingdom for decorative metal work. A place for the whole family to not only enjoy the beautiful pieces of art, but also explore what is on offer on the site. Renowned for the Knife Angel, Spoon Gorilla and the Manchester Bee, they are also know for the amazing food and beautiful walks. With all this and more to experience, you can enjoy a trip like no other.
Bridgnorth was once one of the busiest river ports in Europe, but nowadays, the Severn, clear and unpolluted, is a quiet haven for anglers, walkers and wildlife. The river divides the town into High Town and Low Town, the two being linked by seven sets of ancient donkey steps and a Victorian funicular, the Bridgnorth Cliff Railway.

We depart from your selected pick-up point and travel to the famous British Ironwork Centre where you can discover the world of decorative metal work. There are two fabulous indoor showrooms, each filled with an eclectic array of wonderful and fascinating items crafted from beautiful metals and maters. Visit the Little Village where the Artisans are hard at work. Visit the Forge Café where they serve an array of delicious and mouth-watering goodies.
After a couple of hours of discovery it is time to move on, and enjoy the pretty town of Bridgnorth. History abounds in Bridgnorth. Thomas Telfords church of St Mary Magdalene sits grandly next door to Castle Keep, while the timber-framed Town Hall set on high brick piers, interrupts the traffic flow in the High Street. The redundant but revered St Leonards Church set in its own cathedral-like close provides calm away from the hustle and bustle of the town.
The medieval Northgate, which houses the Northgate Museum stands guard at one end of the High Street whilst the Italianate splendour of the New Market Buildings stand at the other.
After our enjoyable day we will leave at approx. 4.30pm.
