A weekend tour to Berkshire including an excursion back in time at the Milestones Museum, a relaxing cruise, and a visit to the splendid Blenheim Palace.

DAY ONE – Stratford-upon-Avon and Arrival

We depart from your home and travel first to Stratford-upon-Avon, for a little free time.  We then continue our journey to Reading arriving late afternoon at the Hilton Reading Hotel.

 

DAY TWO – Winchester and Milestones

This morning we visit the historic city of Winchester, with its magnificent cathedral. Enjoy free time at leisure to explore and obtain lunch.

 

Later, we head to Milestones - a living history museum where you wander down cobbled streets, chat with staff in period costumes, and explore the shops and factories to experience everyday life from 1810 to 1950.

 

DAY THREE – Henley-on-Thames and Royal Windsor River Cruise

This morning we have a short drive taking in some of the beautiful Berkshire countryside as we head for Henley-on-Thames, famous for its annual regatta.

 

We have a short time to explore the town before we board our boat for our 1-hour river cruise along the Thames. Afterwards, we head to Royal Windsor where you could enjoy lunch and visit the famous Windsor Castle, or one of its many independent stores or quaint streets.

 

DAY FOUR – Blenheim Palace

Today’s excursion is to Blenheim Palace where you can discover 300 years of history at Britain's greatest palace. Visit the State Rooms and Formal Gardens or explore the grounds at your own pace. Refreshments are available on-site in the shop, café or restaurant.

 

DAY FIVE - Departure

After breakfast we depart our way home, on our journey we’ll make a stop in Tamworth, before we continue home.
