We depart from your home and travel to Ludlow, we first have some time here, before we make our way to our hotel, arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.
Todays excursion is a short journey from our hotel to Blenheim Palace. Home to the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture that boasts over 300 years of history to discover. Visit the state rooms, formal gardens or explore the grounds at your own pace.
This morning we make our way to Stratford-upon-Avon, beginning with a short photo stop at Anne Hathaway's idyllic cottage, before heading into the centre of the town where the rest of the morning is free for you to explore at leisure.
With more than 800 years of history, it is well known as the birthplace of Shakespeare. There are many attractions and things to do in the town. Walk in the footsteps of the great playwright at Shakespeares Birthplace, visit the living history museum of Tudor World, take a walk down to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and stroll along the river or explore the many independent shops. The choice is yours.
Later this afternoon we enjoy a 45-minute cruise along the river and taking in the many sights and hearing historical stories.
This morning we set off on a wonderful scenic drive into the beautiful Cotswolds countryside. Our first stop is Moreton-in-Marsh. After spending some time here we move on to Stow-on-the-Wold, a quintessential English town with mellow Cotswold stone buildings, a fine selection of shops, chic bistros, inns, and cosy tea shops. Our last stop of the day is Cheltenham, the most complete Regency town in Britain. We have a chance to explore before we head back to the hotel for the evening.
After breakfast this morning we depart our hotel, and make our journey home, calling at Hereford, before we continue our journey north.

The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel is a beautiful country house located in the village of Charlecote. Its an ideal location for visiting the historic towns of Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick and Leamington Spa nearby. All bedrooms are ensuite with TV, telephone, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron & ironing board and Wi-Fi. This hotel does not have a lift, although ground floor rooms are available on request.
Please note: During your visit to Blenheim Palace, some scaffolding may be present on the front of the structure due to ongoing maintenance.
