A wonderful day excursion to the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.
We make our first stop to Pringles, at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwlllantysiliogogogochin,
dont forget your camera for the famous photo under the railway sign. Time for a tea or coffee in the cafe before we move on to the captivating seaside town of Beaumaris with its mix of medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture.
Why not take a stroll along the seafront, taking in the pier and the views over the Menai Strait and Snowdonia, or explore the charming streets with their picturesque cottages, many painted in soft pastel colours. Or simply find a comfortable spot, enjoy the views and watch the world go by.
You could also choose to explore Beaumaris Castle, a United Nations World Heritage site and an unfinished masterpiece, constructed between 1295-1330 to form perfectly symmetrical concentric lines of fortification. Or maybe explore Beaumaris Gaol, a fascinating insight into the history of Beaumaris, and the crime and punishments within the town.
You have time in Beaumaris to obtain lunch in one of the many cafés or restaurants, before we enjoy a lovely drive on the Island, stopping in the afternoon at beautiful Trearddur Bay.
