We depart from your home and travel south to Sidmouth, arriving at your hotel late afternoon, time to relax before dinner.
A day to enjoy the delights of the Regency resort of Sidmouth, with its many attractions. Why not take a look at the Sidmouth Museum, it is open today until 13:00, so a morning walk of just 3 mins, will take you to the museum, where youll find interactive displays and fascinating histories. Or spend some time relaxing in the spring sunshine at Connaught Gardens, a sheltered and part walled garden of about 1.25 hectares. Or why not expore the seafront via Jacobs Ladder. This historic stepped pathway is a well-known Sidmouth landmark. For those who are able, it offers a pleasant route down to the beach area, with handrails and places to pause along the way.

Budleigh Salterton is a welcoming seaside town with a long, level promenade beside its famous pebble beach. Its an ideal place to enjoy a gentle stroll, relax on one of the many benches, or spend time in one of the towns cafés and tearooms. The compact town centre, close to the seafront, also offers a small selection of independent shops to browse.
Just a short distance away, the Otter Estuary Nature Reserve provides a tranquil riverside setting. Well-maintained paths follow the River Otter through open marshland and reed beds, offering lovely views and opportunities to spot wildlife. There are places to pause and enjoy the surroundings, making it a peaceful and refreshing addition to the day.
Together, Budleigh Salterton and the Otter Estuary offer a perfect mix of coast and countryside, creating a calm and enjoyable day out.
Today we visit Bicton Park Botanical Gardens; home to many rare plants with origins from all parts of the world, including one of the finest collections of trees in Britain. This Heritage Garden is maintained by a team of dedicated gardeners who look after and tend the different areas, so that you can enjoy them to their fullest.
We have also included admission to the Countryside Museum featuring a huge collection of exhibits that mirror the changes to village life, farming, horticulture, social history and rural crafts during the early 20th century.
This morning after breakfast we depart our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
