Holy Island | Lindisfarne | Alnwick | Bamburgh | Seahouses
We depart from your home and travel to Alnwick, arriving at our hotel late afternoon, you will then have time to relax before dinner this evening.
After a leisurely breakfast, we journey along the Northumberland coast making our first stop in the pretty harbour of Seahouses. After enjoying some free time here, we continue further along the coast to Bamburgh. Perhaps visit the Grace Darling Museum or take a stroll along the beach front.
Today is a day free to explore the traditional market town of Alnwick at your own pace.
Todays excursion takes us across the causeway to Holy Island and the mysterious Lindisfarne Castle visible in the distance from Bamburgh. Later we return, making a stop in Belford for free time.
NOTE: The crossing of the causeway to Holy Island is governed by tide times. It may be necessary to amend this excursion.
After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

Set in the heart of the historic market town of Alnwick, the White Swan is a charming, 300-year-old coaching inn that blends its unique heritage with superb accommodation. The hotel is probably best known for its Olympic Dining Suite which features the magnificent panelling, mirrors, and stained-glass windows from the Titanics sister ship. All bedrooms are ensuite and have television, telephone, hairdryer, and tea & coffee making facilities. No Lift.
