Nestled amid sweeping mountains, shimmering lochs and centuries of stirring history, this unforgettable holiday invites you to experience the very best of the Scottish Highlands.

Based in the vibrant city of Inverness, you’ll explore landscapes shaped by legend and moments that changed the course of history.

Walk the solemn grounds of Culloden Battlefield, where the final Jacobite uprising met its fate; feel the might of Fort George, one of the most impressive artillery fortifications in Europe; and take in the wild beauty surrounding Aviemore, the gateway to the Cairngorms. Journey further to Fort William, set in the shadow of Ben Nevis, where dramatic scenery and Highland charm meet.

A rich blend of culture, heritage and breathtaking natural splendour.

HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

· Visit the Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last battle on British soil.

· Step into the architecture, history and beauty of Inverness.

· Enjoy breathtaking scenery and the stunning Cairngorms National Park

· Explore Fort William in the west Highlands.

· Discover an 18th-century fortress on the Moray Firth coast.

DAY ONE - Arrival

We depart from your home and travel north, arriving in Inverness with comfort stops en route. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

DAY TWO – Inverness

Today you have a day at leisure in Inverness, enjoying Inverness is an activity in itself, as a small city, Inverness is best enjoyed on foot and you can easily while away a day wandering the old and new parts of the city taking in the architecture, history and beautiful river that runs through its centre. Maybe explore the Inverness Museum & Art Gallery, perhaps the premier museum chronicling the history of the Scottish Highlands. It covers the area’s natural history from the Jacobites to today. Continue to Leakley’s Bookshop the largest second-hand bookshop and although it is a shop, the unique, beautiful building has become a popular landmark to visit when in Inverness due to its "Instagrammable" features. Family-owned and run since 1979 selling used and antiquarian books, maps and prints Leakey's is an incredibly interesting place to visit. Then on the way back to the hotel this afternoon why not visit the Inverness Cathedral, the most northerly Anglican Cathedral in the UK.

DAY THREE – Culloden Battlefield and Fort George

Visit the sombre Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last battle on British soil, and explore the interactive visitor centre that provides insights into the events of 1746. We’ll then journey to Fort George, a well-preserved 18th-century fortress located on the Moray Firth coast, offering stunning coastal views and fascinating history.

DAY FOUR – Aviemore and Fort William

Today, we head to Aviemore, a gateway to the Cairngorms National Park. Spend a relaxed morning exploring the town, with time to enjoy the shops, take a light walk, or simply soak in the scenery.

In the afternoon, we travel Southwest along the shore of Loch Laggan as we journey on to Fort William, spending a little while here, before to our hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening.
