Sidmouth | Exe River Cruise | South Devon Railway | Buckfast Abbey | Dawlish | Teignmouth
We depart from your home and travel south to Sidmouth, a leisurely journey with comfort stops enroute.
Today we travel to Exmouth where we embark on a leisurely river cruise. The Exe is famous for the seal, so keep an eye out for them as we sail through the calm sheltered waters of the Exe. With live commentary this cruise will give you a full insight into the history and scenic splendour of the area including the resident and visiting wildlife.
A day at leisure in beautiful Sidmouth so you can enjoy its timeless charm.
We enjoy a lovely scenic drive today as we make our way to Buckfast Abbey, located on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park.
We then continue to Buckfastleigh where we enjoy a return train journey on the South Devon Railway. Following the River Dart our journey takes us through the beautiful Devon Hills and beautiful unspoilt countryside, a real treat.
Today we make our way to the seaside towns of Dawlish and Teignmouth. You might spot the famous black Swans at Dawlish, or perhaps walk along the beautiful long sandy beach; the town has plenty of interesting shops and cafes as well for you to enjoy. Teignmouth is a real hidden gem and is both a historic port and classic seaside holiday resort with classic Georgian buildings, promenade, and long sandy beach.
After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops enroute.
