We depart from your home and travel to Holyhead and our crossing to Dublin; on arrival we will make our way to our hotel.
We start the day with a scenic drive of the majestic Mourne mountains the highest mountain range in Northern Ireland and Outstanding Area of Natural Beauty with 12 picturesque peaks. We stop for free time to explore Northern Irelands small and picturesque seaside town of Newcastle situated at the foot of the magnificent Mourne Mountains. Enjoy exploring this bustling town with its welcoming cafes and bars as well as the beautiful sandy beach.
This morning, we head to Carlingford to explore at leisure. This coastal town retains much of its medieval charm, so we can take in a number of historical sites and castles as we stroll through the narrow streets and lanes of the walled town. We will also have free time for lunch. We then hop on the Carlingford Ferry for a 20-minute scenic sail from Greenore to Greencastle. This afternoon, we have a delicious visit to NearysNógs, the master craft chocolate experience to discover the heartful story of chocolate and produce for Fortnum & Mason, Brown Thomas and Avoca!
Today we visit the unique Saint Patrick Centre, the only permanent exhibition in the world dedicated to Irelands Patron Saint. An amazing multimedia exhibition guides us through the History of Ireland. We can also have a browse of the souvenirs in the Craft Store or enjoy a coffee at the Garden café. We then head to one of Irelands most ancient and historic towns where we enjoy an included soup, sandwich and Irish barmbrack lunch at the atmospheric Denvirs Restaurant in the heart of the town.
