We depart from your home and travel to Scotland where we arrive late afternoon, time to relax before dinner this evening.
A relaxing morning, departing for time at leisure in the attractive town of Forres, one of Scotland's oldest small towns. Forres has award-winning floral gardens, a historic high street and Sueno's Stone, the tallest carved standing stone in Scotland. Return to Grantown on Spey for time at leisure.
This morning we visit Brodie Castle. Acres of gentle Moray countryside surround the rose-coloured Brodie Castle, ancestral home of the Brodie clan for over 400 years, although their family seat has been here since the 12th century.
The castle houses magnificent collections to admire. The Playful Garden is located near to the castle and explores the Brodie family history in a fun-filled way. Home to a menagerie of characters inspired by the castle's quirky history, including Scotland's biggest bunny sculpture.
This afternoon we travel a short distance to Brodie Countryfayre to browse amongst classic Scottish keepsakes, fashion and artisan foods.
We then return to our hotel to relax before dinner this evening.
This morning after breakfast the beautiful Moray Coast awaits. Joined by our guide for the day, hear of historic harbours, see picturesque fishing villages, sweeping stretches of sandy beaches and views over the Moray Firth such as at Speybay. Located on the east side of the mouth of the River Spey, visit the Scottish Dolphin Centre, where you can try to spot the world-famous Moray Firth Dolphins.
Later we return to our base is via 'Whisky Country', with the many distilleries dotted throughout the glens surrounding this iconic water source, passing through Aberlour, Craigellachie and Ballindalloch.
After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

Situated in the heart of the Highland town of Grantown-on-Spey, this traditional, quality Scottish hotel once hosted Queen Victoria and in more recent times, Queen Elizabeth II. The hotel offers modern comforts whilst retaining its traditional character and is proud of its location, surrounded by amazing wildlife, flora and fauna. All 50 well maintained, comfortable bedrooms have spacious bathrooms and are equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift to most floors but there are steps to negotiate to some rooms. The public areas were recently refurbished to a high standard, the large restaurant is in a beautiful, high-ceilinged room and the bar and lounge areas are cosy and relaxing.
