DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home early and travel to Portsmouth and our ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight and onto our hotel.  Welcome tea/coffee on arrival. Time to refresh before you enjoy listening to the Carol singers between 5pm – 6pm.  Followed by dinner, and then the evening entertainment.

 

DAY TWO – Christmas Eve and Shanklin

We have a relaxing morning before we head into Shanklin. We have some free time to obtain lunch before our afternoon at the Shanklin Theatre pantomime.  It will be great fun for everyone .... oh yes it will!  This evening we enjoy dinner and festive evening entertainment.

 

DAY THREE – Christmas Day

Today is Christmas Day, Merry Christmas! We enjoy our festive surroundings today and our Christmas lunch served at 1pm.  We enjoy high tea at 6pm and a Christmas Quiz this evening.

 

DAY FOUR – Boxing Day

Today we will blow away the cobwebs and travel the circular route around the island, taking in Cowes, Yarmouth and Sandown before returning back to our hotel for our Festive buffet and evening entertainment.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey back to our ferry and home, with comfort stops en route.

ROYAL ESPLANADE HOTEL, RYDE

The traditional, Victorian Royal Esplanade hotel is located in a superb seaside location, close to the promenade in the heart of the lively resort of Ryde, and just a short walk to the centre of town. The 69 airy bedrooms are well decorated and offer a mix of styles with excellent bathrooms. The restaurant and bar offer attractive decor and comfortable seating areas and there is a large entertainment lounge and a rear outdoor terrace.

 

Please note: This hotel does not have ramp or flat access to the front of the hotel and has 6 unavoidable steps. The hotel does not have any ground floor rooms and whilst there are rooms on the first floor (with lift access), it is only a small lift for 3-4 guests. This hotel is not suitable for mobility scooters, as they are too large to fit in the lift and will be unable to move around the hotel in general.

The hotel does not have any ground floor rooms and whilst there are rooms on the first floor (with lift access), it is only a small lift for 3-4 guests. This hotel is not suitable for mobility scooters, as they are too large to fit in the lift and will be unable to move around the hotel in general.

If no single supplement applies this is limited to the tour single room allocation and therefore additional cost may apply.  Prices displayed are per person unless otherwise stated. If door-to-door pick-up is included there may be additional charges for out of area. Itineraries and hotel inclusions may be subject to change. Seat numbers on the coach may be subject to change. Issues whilst on tour must be raised in the first instance with the driver. Covid-19 restrictions may apply. When making bookings you accept on behalf of yourself and your party the terms in our Trading Charter which can be found in our brochure, on our website at http://www.jonesholidays.co.uk/Jones-holidays-trading-charter, or a copy can be requested from our Sales office.  If your holiday is more than 56 days from departure, we offer a 7-day cooling off period where a full refund will be offered from the date of the initial confirmation invoice (with the exception of flight holidays).
