DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Scotland arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Christmas Eve - Stranraer

Today we stay local and explore the town of Stranraer. The town’s main attraction is the Castle of St. John, a ruined four-story tower house built around 1500, which sits on a green in the main street. There are several eye-catching artworks in the area surrounding the castle. Stranraer Museum can be found in the old town hall. Or just relax in the hotel an enjoy the Christmas cheer.

 

DAY THREE – Christmas Day

Merry Christmas – You’ll enjoy a full Scottish breakfast this morning, followed by curling practice, or simply relax before our 5 course Christmas lunch. This afternoon maybe try your hand at Bonspiel. There will be a light buffet this evening, followed by a live band, dancing and a Christmas quiz.

 

DAY FOUR – Boxing Day - Ayrshire Coastal Drive

Today we take a drive to blow away the cobwebs. We head firstly to Troon and enjoy its long beach and promenade before we visit Ayr and Alloway – the home of Scotland’s most famous poet.  We then continue as we head along the coast and take in the views of the Firth to Arran and pass Culzean Castle. We’ll return to our hotel with time to relax before our dinner this evening, followed by another chance to test your knowledge with a Christmas quiz.

 

DAY FIVE - Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
