Aberaeron | Tenby | Carmarthen | Cenarth Falls | Cardigan | National Wool Museum | Pembrokeshire Heritage Coastline | Entertainment | Drinks Special Offer
We depart from your home and we make our way to Cardigan Bay, we will stop in Aberaeron on our journey down, where you can stretch your legs and explore this pretty little town, before we continue our journey to Cardigan. Enjoy a welcome tea/coffee on arrival at our hotel.
Today a visit to South Wales premier resort of Tenby with its medieval stone wall old town of narrow streets and picturesque harbour.
This morning, we visit Carmarthen to enjoy the atmosphere of this charming market town, we then visit the historic village of Cenarth to see the spectacular Falls. There is a wooden walkway along the river, but please wear sensible shoes.
Today we visit the National Wool Museum, discover the spellbinding story of the Welsh woollen industry. Wool was historically the most important and widespread of Wales's industries. The picturesque village of Dre-fach Felindre in the beautiful Teifi Valley was once the centre of a thriving woollen industry, earning the nickname 'The Huddersfield of Wales'
Located in the historic former Cambrian Mills, shirts and shawls, blankets and bedcovers, woollen stockings and socks were all made here, and sold in the surrounding countryside - and to the rest of the world.
The café serves a selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks, and the museum also has a gift shop.
We then have a little time in Cardigan, where you can enjoy the shops, or maybe take a walk along the river. Well then return back to our hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening.
After a leisurely breakfast, this morning we depart and make our journey home with refreshment stops en route.
