Our Battlefield Tours covers the key battlefield sites of the Great War across Belgium and France. Whether its visiting Flanders Field, walking the battlegrounds of the Somme, or standing on the front line of the Ypres Salient, theres nothing more rewarding than visiting the battlefields of the First World War.

We depart from your home and travel to Dover for our ferry crossing to Calais. On arrival well continue to our hotel in Belgium.
Accompanied by an experienced battlefields tour guide visit the main sites involved in the Ypres Salient including Tyne Cot Cemetery, the largest Commonwealth War Cemetery in the world commemorating nearly 12,000 servicemen, Essex Farm where John McCrae wrote his famous poem and other important sites. In the afternoon we will visit the In Flanders Field Museum, located in the Cloth Hall on the towns market square. This award-winning museum recalls personal stories of individuals during World War I through varied objects on display and the latest technological museum applications, including an interactive Poppy Bracelet. Dinner is taken at leisure (not included) at a local restaurant in Ypres before attending the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate, dedicated to the soldiers who were killed in the Ypres Salient during the Great War whose graves are unknown.
Today we have a day at leisure in Bruges.
Today we travel to Peronne and explore the Somme Battlefields with an expert battlefields guide. Visit the Historial de la Grande Guerre Museum, located in the towns castle. The museum's displays and films aim to show the visitor not only what life was like for soldiers on the front and behind the lines, but also the effect of the Great War on the civilians who were occupied by an enemy force. Following lunch at leisure (not included) in Albert, we visit other key sites such as the Thiepval Memorial and Beaumont Hamel Memorial Park.
After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel, take our ferry crossing and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

The Hotel & Aparthotel Alizé Mouscron is a luxurious and contemporary hotel, situated close to the Market place and 15 minutes from Kortrijk, Ypres and Lille. Its an excellent location. All the rooms have air-conditioning and a bed of 210cm long, a large flat screen television, radio & alarm clock, movable desk, tea & coffee facilities, direct telephone line, free WIFI, fully equipped bathroom with bath or walk-in shower, separate toilet, hairdryer, handkerchief, etc.
No date has yet been given by the EU but they are expecting it to happen sometime early 2025. At this stage you need do nothing (June 2024).
