The beautiful Peak District, what better way to spend a day! With rich historical, industrial, and literary associations, the picturesque village of Hathersage in the Hope Valley is brimming with character and has a great selection of shops, pubs, restaurants. Hathersage churchyard is most famous for the grave of Little John, Robin Hood's giant righthand man.
It is also home of the David Mellor Museum, which includes a café and museum dedicated to the renowned cutlery designer (who also designed the modern traffic light!).
Bakewell the biggest town in the Peak District National Parks, legend has it that the town's famous Bakewell Pudding was created by mistake by a local cook in the mid-19th century. Today her delectable 'jam tart that went wrong' can be sampled at various bakeries and cafés and posted virtually anywhere in the world! The town offers charming tea rooms set in cosy courtyards, variety of individual shops, impressive stone buildings, a quaint five-arched bridge that goes back to Roman times, a Grade I listed church, a museum, historic almshouses, etc.

We make our way to Hathersage (arriving around 11:00hrs) to enjoy some free time discovering this charming, picturesque village in the Peak District.
Depart Hathersage at 13:00hrs and travel the short distance (30 minutes) to the famous town of Bakewell. Departing Bakewell at 16:00hrs, allowing time to browse this delightful town.
