Based in Lincolnshire, this east coast holiday features a visit to Lincoln Castle and the famous seaside resorts of Cleethorpes and Skegness in Lincolnshire. We also discover York and Lincoln by water with a relaxing York city cruise and Lincoln by a canal boat cruise.

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Brigg arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – York and York River Cruise

Today we spend the day in York and start off our adventures with a City Sightseeing Cruise, gliding along the river that brought the Romans and Vikings to York, there is live commentary from a local skipper, sit back and relax as we admire the scenery. In the afternoon, we have free time to explore York on foot. There’s so much to see, we have the afternoon at leisure before returning to our hotel at the end of the day. 

 

DAY THREE – Lincoln Castle and Lincoln River Cruise

This morning we visit the magnificent Lincoln Castle and its unique, fascinating restored Victorian Prison, used as a filming location for TV series such as Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife. In the afternoon, we enjoy a 1-hour guided canal cruise taking in the sights of Lincoln and the surrounding countryside with entertaining commentary. 

 

DAY FOUR – Skegness and Cleethorpes

Our travels today take us to the seaside, where we visit the popular resorts of Skegness and Cleethorpes.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
