Enjoy the expansive and mesmerizing landscape of the Peak District as we travel on our day out. Firstly, stopping at Buxton, a spa town in the High Peak District of Derbyshire. It is England's highest market town, sited at some 1,000 feet above sea level. Famous for its natural thermal springs, it has been a popular holiday resort since Roman times. The name might sound familiar too because of the iconic Buxton water. Tuesday is market day so you may be able to find a bargain or two! (The market is held on Buxton Market Place).
We then travel the short distance to the largest town in the Peak District National Park, Bakewell. Perhaps best known for its unique and delicious Pudding, experience the original 'delicious mistake' at one of the bakeries. Bakewell has many more tempting treats to offer - ranging from shopping and specialist markets to relaxing strolls and special events.
However, you decide to spend your day, we know you will have a wonderful time making new memories and new travelling friends.
Bakewell | Buxton
We depart from your selected pick-up point and travel to the heart of the Peak District National Park to Buxton, home of Buxton Water, and famous for its magnificent Crescent, recently opened as a spa hotel. Some time here for you to enjoy the town and its beautiful Pavilion Gardens, shops or market. Well have some time here to wander around and have some lunch before making the short journey to Bakewell the biggest town in the Peak District National Park arriving at approx. 1.30pm.
We depart at 4pm to make our journey home via the famous Cat & Fiddle towards Macclesfield, then home-ward bound.
