Eastbourne is an idyllic retreat on the south-east coast. Unwind and relax in its delightful cafes and pretty gardens full of late summer colours, and autumn tinges.

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel south to Eastbourne where tea and coffee await you on arrival whilst your luggage is taken to your room.

 

DAY TWO – Beachy Head, Lewes and Eastbourne

This morning we take a drive out to Beachy Head – no trip to Eastbourne would be complete without this. We’ll then make our way to Lewes, spending a little time here you’ll see a mix of the unusual and intriguing, which is typical Sussex.  We return to Eastbourne early where you have time to enjoy the resort before our dinner this evening.

 

DAY THREE – Bexhill Museum and Hastings

This morning first we make our way to Bexhill, a creative hotspot for contemporary culture, the De La Warr Pavilion is on Bexhill’s elegant seafront.  With classic colonnades framing the broad views across the bay to Beachy Head.  We have added a visit to the Bexhill Museum whilst we are here, this lovely museum has varied displays as well as a model railway.  Opened in 1914 with one gallery, it has grown its collection to match its style ever since. Incorporating the Bexhill Old Town Costume Museum, it is a unique mix of the modern and Edwardian with four galleries and unique artefacts relating to the history and natural environment of our surrounding area.

 

We then travel down to Hastings, overlooked by William the Conqueror’s castle, and famous as the location for the popular TV detective series Foyle’s War before returning to our hotel later this afternoon.

 

DAY FOUR – Eastbourne

Today we have a day at leisure in Eastbourne for you to enjoy the resort, or simply relax in the hotel.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
