DAY ONE - Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Lancashire, arriving late afternoon with time to relax at the hotel before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Dewlay Cheesemakers and Sizergh Castle

Our excursion today takes us north to Dewlay Cheesemakers. A family-run award-winning artisan producer who has been creating cheese since 1957. We will be taking a guided tour of the creamery and have a chance to taste some samples to tantalise your taste buds.

 

In the afternoon, we travel further North to Sizergh Castle, a beautiful medieval house, with rich gardens and estate. Its rich and beautiful garden includes a pond, lake and a rock garden. Sizergh has many tales to tell and certainly feels lived in, with centuries-old portraits and fine furniture.

 

DAY THREE –Bury Market and Helmshore Mill Lancashire’s

Today, we travel to Bury where we can browse the famous Bury Market – often voted market of the year in Britain’s Favourite Market. You’ll find over 350 stalls to visit with time to explore Bury at leisure and enjoy lunch.

 

This afternoon we visit Helmshore Mill Lancashire’s. At one point Lancashire supplied one-third of all the world's cotton goods. We enjoy a guided tour where this industrial heritage is brought to life.

 

DAY FOUR – Blackpool and Afternoon Tea Experience at Blackpool Tower

After a leisurely breakfast, we journey West to Lancashire’s famous seaside resort of Blackpool. No trip to Lancashire would be complete without a visit to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom where you can enjoy live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer and enjoy an Afternoon Tea Experience. The rest of the day is yours to explore Blackpool at leisure.

 

DAY FIVE - Departure

This morning after breakfast we depart our hotel for our homeward journey with comfort stops en route.
