DAY ONE - Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Cambridge with comfort stops en route, arriving late afternoon at the hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Bury St Edmunds and Ely

The day out begins with a drive to Bury St Edmunds, a historic market town nestled in the countryside of the shire county of Suffolk. Besides its fantastic shopping and stunning parks, you could admire the magnificent Bury St Edmunds Cathedral and discover the legend of St Edmund amongst the ruins of the 11th Century Abbey.

 

Later, we drive to the historic city of Ely with time to have lunch before we explore. There is plenty for all interests and tastes, with a splendid array of medieval buildings and narrow streets. Don’t miss a visit to the magnificent cathedral, known as ‘The Ship of the Fens’.

 

DAY THREE – Cambridge

This morning, we journey to the wonderful city of Cambridge. We have a guided tour of the city, followed by plenty of time for you to explore at your own pace. We travel back to the hotel in time to enjoy a relaxing drink before dinner.

 

DAY FOUR – Departure

After a leisurely breakfast we depart our hotel and begin our homeward journey with comfort stops en route.
