This tour takes us to North Yorkshire to enjoy the dales, with time in Harrogate & York, quaint towns and market day in Skipton. We finish the week with a Cream Tea – ending on a sweet note.

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Harrogate making a comfort stop en route at your Driver’s discretion.  We arrive late afternoon and will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Knaresborough and Harrogate

This morning we take a short drive to the spa and market town of Knaresborough for a stop to enjoy the scenery and high street. The town hosts many cafes and tearooms, perfect for warming up, or you may enjoy a wander along the riverside.

 

After we return to Harrogate, the rest of the day is free for you to explore at leisure. Enjoy a lovely stroll through beautiful Valley Gardens or explore the delightful Victoria arcades for some retail therapy. Have a relaxing lunch in one of the many restaurants, cafes and bars – maybe even visit the famous ‘Betty’s Tearooms’.

 

DAY THREE – Grassington and Skipton Market

Our day takes us into the Yorkshire Dales, passing through the pretty village of Pateley Bridge and travelling over the moorland until we arrive at Grassington. We have a chance to enjoy a stop here to enjoy the quaint cobbled market town and perhaps have a hot drink.

 

Afterwards, we head to the market town of Skipton, known as the ‘Gateway to the Dales’. The High Street leads up to the church, behind which you see the impressive 900-year-old castle and Skipton Woods. Today is also market day so you have a chance to grab a bargain or some local goods.

 

DAY FOUR – York

Our day takes us to the historic cathedral city of York, the capital of Yorkshire and a particularly beautiful city to spend the day in. You could wander through the shambles, enjoy lunch or a drink by the riverside or perhaps visit the National Railway Museum or even York Cathedral.

 

Later this afternoon, we will return to the hotel to enjoy a Cream Tea at the hotel with Tea, Scones, Clotted Cream & Jam – ending your week on a sweet note.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
